How to stop smoking with Hypnosis | Hypnotherapy Edinburgh

Updated: May 8

  • Really wanting to be free of smoking for good and frightened of stopping?

  • Scared of what it might be like to quit smoking and feeling like you would be missing a friend?

  • Really worried about what it is doing to your health and yet afraid of the cravings?

  • Thinking that you enjoy it really, and yet hating the smell on your clothes and your hair?

I saw a number of specialists however none of them came close to helping me in the way Andy has, nor with such astonishing results.  Andy is an inspiration and I will be forever in his debt. Micheal Gersternberger, Midlothian

FOUR SIMPLE STEPS TO BECOMING COMPLETELY AND PERMANENTLY FREE WITH STOP SMOKING WITH HYPNOTHERAPY EDINBURGH

Step I Arrange a free telephone consultation where you can get all your questions answered and decide if you want to go ahead.

Step 2 When you go ahead and book, I will design a session especially for you, based on the information that you have given me and set you some tasks to do before we meet. After all, we are all different. Your reasons and triggers for smoking are different from anyone else’s, so it is important that the session is tailored to make it really effective and permanent.

Step 3 Come into my office and we work together in a very gentle way over a period of about 2.5 hours. This whole session is not only effective, but can be fun too, and you will probably find that the time goes really quickly!

Step 4 Start Living Smoke-Free – Begin to find out what life can be like when you are free of smoking for good. Over the next few days, the oxygen begins to come back to your skin and your gums as the Carbon Monoxide that you used to get from the smoking disappears and the nicotine leaves your body. Your body is amazing and begins to heal immediately. You will begin to notice being able to walk and run and climb the stairs easier, getting all the benefits of breathing so much clearer, and the benefits just continue to grow with each day and week and month – begin to feel fantastic.

Bonus Free Follow-up for six months. It is really important to me that this is complete and permanent for you, which is why I can offer Free Follow-Up for an amazing 6 months following our initial appointment. This means that you can email me, or call me or even come back into the office for follow up sessions (for smoking).

You will be pleased to know that for most people, this isn’t needed at all. However, occasionally, life may throw stuff at us to challenge us when we least expect it. So, this support is here for you, to ensure that you have everything you need to be free of the smoking for good.

Why six months? Initially, I offered this for 3 months, until I realized that unexpected environmental triggers can still pop-up even after this time.

So I started offering it for a whole year – after all, I want the change to be permanent.

However, I found that, all the (rare) instances of people realising they needed more help all happened within a 6 month period, and those who left it for nearly a year, did so only to leave it to the last possible moment, (remember, nicotine fools the brain into thinking smoking is essential for life – so once it sneaks its way back in, we are likely to resist getting free again!). By helping them to leave it longer gave the nicotine even more time to get the old habits well and truly ingrained again!

Six months is the optimal time –  I want you to feel completely supported in your decision to get free!

It is completely possible to re-educate these natural mechanisms to allow you to become free of smoking for good. One client recently described it as “k that the very systems that are designed to keep you safe and well are themselves causing the desire to smoke.
